EDTECH EDGE PRIVACY POLICY

 

Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy (the “Policy”) applies to all products and services offered by EdTech Edge, LLC (“ETE”) and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to ETE includes any and all websites of ETE (the “Sites”). ETE Sites are corporate websites. By using any of the ETE Sites, you consent to the data use and collection practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personally Identifiable Information

We do not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personally identifiable information to us when you voluntarily provide information on the Sites. These may include: (a) signing up with ETE to provide feedback, advice, and insights to Education Technology companies; (b) registering for an account on any of our Sites; (c) participating in various feedback sessions offered by ETE or one of our partners; (d) responding to surveys; (e) sending us an email message; or (f) user testing.  As such, we will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you or one of our partners in relation to services and/or ideas you have provided to us. We also may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.

 

Sharing Information with Third Parties

ETE does not sell, rent or lease its customer information to third parties.

ETE may share your data, feedback, suggestions, and reactions with trusted partners to help them validate, enhance or improve their ideas.  All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to obtain these services from ETE, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

ETE may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on ETE or the Sites; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of ETE; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of ETE, or the public.

 

Third Party Sites and Services

ETE Sites may contain links to third-party websites, products, and services.  Information collected by third parties, which may include such things as location data or contact details, is governed by such third-party privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of those third parties.
 

Security of your Personally Identifiable Information

ETE Sites secure your personal information and the personally identifiable information of others from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.  Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personally identifiable information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through the ETE Sites cannot be guaranteed.
 

External Data Storage Sites

We may store your data on servers provided by third party hosting vendors with whom we have entered into contracts or agreements to store such data.
 

No Information Collected from Children

We understand the importance of taking extra precautions to protect the privacy and safety of children.  Accordingly, ETE does not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, without first receiving verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
 

E-mail Communications

From time to time, ETE may contact you via e-mail for the purpose of providing announcements, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication. In order to improve our services, we may receive a notification when you open an e-mail from ETE or click on a link therein.  If you would like to stop receiving such e-mail communications from ETE, you may opt out at any time by notifying us.
 

Changes to this Policy

ETE may change this Policy at any time and from time to time. The most recent version of this Policy is reflected by the version date located at the bottom of this Policy.  If ETE makes any material changes to this Policy, those changes will apply to the personally identifiable information collected after the effective date listed on the Policy.
